You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I find my self (potentially) in need of new riding shoes. Whilst I'm at work I can't have a proper look see and decide if I can repair the current ones but I can browse the internet!
I'm tempted by the five ten trailcross clip but they seem to come in two variants, "normal" and pro. There's a few differences between them and I'm mainly in favour of the pro but the one which has me intrigued is the "normal" is less stiff than the pro.
I use mallet DH pedals so I've plenty of support from those and a bit more feel could be welcome (I do tend to unclip and ride "flat" on ugly looking stuff) but in my head I've images of them being "saggy" when I pull up in my pedal stroke.
Equally I'm wondering if the pro are disco-slipper rigid so unlikely to offer much feel on the pedals.
Anyone able to offer any insight?
Cheers
Bump for the weekend crowd as my repair attempt seems to have failed.
I never used that model but there's a good deal here:
At that price I reckon you can take the risk.
That deal is a big part of the temptation to try 😂
I can't answer the question asked, but in my experience, would size up.
I'm a UK size 11 and they're really tight with a thicker sock...wish I'd gone 11.5.
For me, yes. Next time I'll be going a size up.
Or....buy 11 and 11.5 and return the worse fitting one 🙂
My old 5:10s are an 11 and much better fitting.
