I have some 9 year old Five Ten Freeriders that need replacing. I've read mixed things about current sizing and wondered if anyone had experience? Current ones are UK 6.5. Size guides seem way off by suggesting a UK 8 is the same size as my 6.5.

Gone up from 37 to 38 and 42 to 43 in Freeriders

My current freerider pros are EU 46, UK 11. They feel ever so slightly smaller than previous ones. Certainly not one and a half sizes smaller!

Do you have a shop nearby where you could try some on? That should help.

I went up half a (UK) size. Gave me the option to keep my feet warm in winter and to let air flow in the summer. Also I like wide shoes because I have spent the last 10 years wearing feet shaped shoes and not squeezing my feet into shoe shaped shoes

Bizzare, Madame bought some new 5:10 Impacts and they are bigger than her old ones, both 41, her normal street size. The new ones are a bit too big.

I went up half a size and sent them back as they were still too tight. Had to go up a full size (11 to 12).

I found I had to size up. But then I always find Adidas smaller. Usually a solid size 9 in other footwear but I'm a size 10 in five:ten/Adidas.

Yep, agree to the above, just bought a brand new pair, ordered 46 & 46 2/3rd after reading the reviews and normally a 46. Kept the larger pair and sent the 46s back. The same as Sidi's, if that helps, but probs not 😀

I always go up 1/2 size on Five Tens - usually an 8 but get 8.5.

Yup, definitely up one whole size for dlx especially if you want anything more than a thin sock , and up half a size for freeriders at least or a whole one if you don't like them snug. still trying to break in a pair I foolishly bought cheap last year thinking I could live with them, but I don't like a tight fitting shoe 😣

Thanks for the replies. My current ones are a 6.6 and a bit too big so thinking I'll be best getting a new 6.5 so it'll be smaller.

They seem a better fitting and improved shoe but is anyone else finding the soles wear quickly? The pedal pins have gone through the rubber on mine and I can see the red insole and the outer rubber looks awfy thin...

Yes honestly I had exactly the same issue! Changing my 4 year old freeriders I bought the primeblue’s in 9.5 as same size, much too small. Ordered 10.5 and perfect now. Definitely don’t order the same size to years ago, you will be disappointed 🤣

I sized up half a size in Freerider Pro and a full size in the boots. My wife has two pairs a size and a half different. Different again in the other models so not consistent!

If you buy from Adidas the returns process is brilliant. As soon as they had a drop off scan then the new pair were on the way to me, only took a couple of days for a swap, or buy two and send one back.

I have 2 pairs of freeriders, both in 9.5. The newer Adidas pair are definitely half a size bigger

I have a pair of "clown" size 5:10 flatties and they feel on the small side for what they are supposed to be. That could just be my weird feet though. They don't do half sizes in "Clown"

I'm torn between the new Freeriders and Impacts.

I've had many pairs of Impacts in every version since the original suede ones.

The Freerider Pro (not the eco ones) are the best riding shoes I've had. Loads of grip, good feel and really light.

Impacts are very clompy in comparison and weight a tonne!

This is weird. Just got some Freerider Pros. Sized up to a UK 7 and they're slightly too big. So need to get a UK 6.5 which is the same as my usual shoes. Maybe they changed again recently.
