have new set of above and they dont have a star washer for fitting like other calipers i've had. they do have a normal 2mm thick washer. pdf on shimano site shows what i have etc but how does it lock up properly without one?

Just looked at mine, the thick 2mm washer looks a bit "gritty" certainly not had any problems so far.
