Well, the old BB 30 bearings came out of my carbon road frame easily enough, although i REALLY don't like using a hammer anywhere near the bike!
Putting the new ones in was 'interesting' as my home made headset press didn't like doing that job. Eventually drifted them in using hammer and a cut down length of broom handle but it wasn't a nice experience.
Think i'll invest in a bearing press for future jobs.
What a bloody stupid system, why not stick with Hollowtech II ?
Specialized are going back to threaded bb shells on a lot of their bikes for 2017. Hope more do the same.
It the same system on every car, commercial vehicle and plant anywhere in the world.
I should probably add that fitting / removing them is a properly easy job it's just that they need doing too bloody often!
I still don't see what was wrong with sealed cartridge type bottom brackets - having bearings exposed to the crud sat outside the bottom bracket shell is a really daft idea.

Yeah but many times there's a lot of mass surrounding those precision machined bores in those applications
