Hi folks

Just bought a replacement brake as the old one is faulty. The new one is pre bled but I need to get the cable through the frame. To do that I obviously need to take the brake lever or calliper off. Do I just drain it of fluid then refill it once I get it through? Or am I missing something?

Cheers

When I fitted mine (Guides) I just undid the hose at the lever end and pulled it through. When it was back together I’m pretty sure it worked fine but I bled it anyway just to make sure.

And you’ll have to cut it and then refit the new barb & compression fitting which should be in the box.

Use the old hose to pull the new one through, I cut the head off an M3 screw but you can also buy one of these I think https://www.tredz.co.uk/.RockShox-Barb-Connector-Reverb-Stealth_77198.htm?sku=245375&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Seatposts&gclid=CjwKCAjwu5yYBhAjEiwAKXk_eH3Zi4x4U****IJGI7KYb_OivL2Hsk3di5TPb1Cg0x9Mxnk7LICjJRoCS7kQAvD_BwE
