I happened to notice that you can get a 1 x 11 shimano xt Di2 kit (shifter, derailer, battery, screen etc )for about £500-600,which doesn't appear to be too bad value.

So, what the score with fitting it to a non Di2 frame, for example a 2018 carbon yt capra?

The frame has internal cable routing, so is there a high likelihood that all the gubbins will fit nicely inside the frame?

Looks like the battery and junction box should go inside the seat tube. How do you stop them from rattling about in there?

Anything else I should know about?

My Cube xc bike has internal routing but was not Di2 ready. I drilled out the stops for the front mech cable (so I could still use the rear routing if I went back to cables). Battery and junction box in the down tube, threaded in via head tube. Battery is in an old ESI grip for padding.

What are the rough dimensions of the battery and junction box? It's hard to get an idea of scale from the photos.

Junction box is small, maybe 3-4cm by 1cm by 6mm.

Battery a bit longer than a handlebar grip but fits snugly inside it.
