Currently using an old XT 9 speed crank (triple but converted to double) but the crank is knackered - can I simply buy a SLX triple crankset and fit my existing chainrings to it?
Are the double cranks PCDs different to the triple chainrings or are they chainrings interchangeable?

They're totally compatible ime- the chain inner dimensions are the same. You'd think there'd be a difference in shifting ramps etc but I can't tell any.
