So I've got a trip coming up soon and if i don't take some wet weather tires it will most definitely rain. So I might as well be prepared as i have a spare set of wheels.

Combo of choice right now is Maxxis Ardent 2.25 rear and Maxxis DHF 2.3 front. (27.5)

I quite like the look of the Specialized Hillbilly as a front tire but don't know what to run on the rear for XC/Trail rides. If it does rain will be boggy and sticky nasty mud so ideally something no bigger than 2.3.

So what do you recommend? I'm happy with any brand if they're grippy in mud and not too draggy on the rear.

Get a Shorty 3c - you can stick the DHF out back and shorty front if it rains, or stick with your current setup if not
