How far from CYB can you stay? Dolgellau is a cheap base. Stayed here last time: http://www.dwyolwyn.co.uk/ Not bad. Basic stuff, pleasant owners, cheap and nice breakfast. Does the job.

Or there are a number of places nearby that are aimed at bike folk I believe, or fair amount of places to stay round Betws-y-Coed though a bit of a drive from CYB but is a nice place and near to various other trail centres.

if you're going for the weekend a trip on the night bus to Barmouth from Dolgellau for a night at the Sandancer is an experience.

we've stayed here http://www.coedybrenin.com/ numerous times over the last 10 years, fairly basic but usually a good price and its right in the middle of the trails, so no need to pack dirty bikes in the car.

So many good places to stay around there! What's your budget?

Ride? All of CYB! It's great fun! Don't rule out some of the green/blue stuff either, great fun at speed.

If you have time, a trip to either Machynlleth or Nant yr Arian is well worth it as well, but there's so much at CYB, you'll have your hands full!

We always stay at the Torrent Walk Bunkhouse on the outskirts of Dolgellau when heading up to CYB - in fact we are going up their on Sunday for my Stag-Do (4 days of riding, can't wait)

I've stayed here in their camping barn for a bank holiday weekend with a bunch of mates every year for the last 5 or 6 years

About a mile up the road from the trail centre.

We stayed here this year; http://www.maesgwm-wales.co.uk/

Really nice place and it's on the Tarw trail, you ride past this a mile or two before getting back to the trail centre.

The website only has prices for a week, but we got it for just a few days.
