I set my Ragley Big Al up tubeless for the first time, 2 days ago. I put 120ml of Muc Off tubless sealant in (removed the valve core) and a 2.25 Racing Ralph tyre. I was amazed how easily the tyre popped on the bead and it inflated perfectly. The past 2 days the tyre drops in pressure from 30psi to 20psi over night. I'm guessing this is now a process of elimination, going to try the following:
1. Put wheel in a bath of water and look for small bubbles.
2. Change the presta value over.
3 If this fails then clean the sealant out and retape the wheel (comes set up from new).
An issue could be the Racing Ralph is not a tubeless specific tyre, it was a pretty much brand new trye but from a few years back. Any other suggestions ?
Have you ridden on it? It takes a while to get the sealant where it needs to be and riding it helps slosh the sealant around
Everytime I have put a new tubeless tyre on the bike it has deflated over night, pump it back up then go for a ride and the sealant gets spread around all of the tyre beads and usually is fine from then on.
Yep, go ride it
Agree with above.
First few weeks [months?] with my Anthem the back tyre would deflate over a period of days. Then it stopped and was fine ever since.
PS, 120ml is about twice what I use. What is everyone else using per tyre?
When I went tubeless, it took about a month for the back tire to seal properly and stay inflated.
Even now, I still pump up the tire once or twice a week.
How the bike rides has definitely improved since going tubeless but tubeless hasn't been trouble free for me at all.
I use around 120ml too, 2.6 tyres.

I redid mine the other day, couldn't remember what I used to use so went with 90.
60-90 of goop and go ride it.
Did a tubeless ready Racing Ralph on a UST rim the other week and it was weeping round the beed for the first hour of riding.
The only exception to just ride it is where the valve won't seal in the rim bed then I'd dab some silicone sealant or similar round the valve hope and leave to go off a bit.
I found doing the Stan's wiggle or whatever it's called sorted it rather than riding. Guess it gets a bit more sealant into the bead than just riding.
Spin the wheel then turn to both side whilst spinning then ride it.
If it has still gone down overnight after that I find that painting the inside of the tyre with modelling latex, has helped when using non tubeless ready tyres.

Always worth giving it the wiggle,If I’m doing tubeless without having time to ride I tend to not put them on the bike and give them a few wiggles before bed,if they’re reasonably hard in the morning happy days.
Thanks folks. I have managed to fix it, I took the back wheel off and sloshed the sealant around for 5 mins while holding the wheel horizontally and slowly rotating 180, this enables sealant to reach all parts of the wheel and value. I think this must have spread extra sealant into the all parts of the bead and seems to have full sealed up now.
