This was my first time at Revolution Bike Park and it definitely lived up to the hype! I can't explain how steep some of the trails at this place are, they aren't kidding when they say it's the nearest you'll get to riding the Alps without leaving the UK!

The whole site was absolutely bone dry which is apparently unheard of for Revs! Although 3pm onwards on the first day I was there was an absolute washout but things were dry again for next visit 2 days later.

All runs are indexed in the video description if you're looking for a particular run etc.

It’s mint alright. Great building work done there and constant updates.

I’m there a fair bit with my lad and his mates, look for a bunch of teenagers sessioning the 50:01 line

I didn't hit the 50/1 line this time but it's definitely on my 'mtb to-do list' for a future trip, also can't wait until they finish the bottom section of Freeride so you can run it top to bottom!

Christ!  How the hell anybody gets down that Ghetto Track without face braking is beyond me!!  That slow drop off at about 3.47 - no idea how to ride stuff like that!!

Haha yer that track is an absolute minefield! There's an almost identical slow drop on Reddy McRedface too, both followed immediately by 90 degree turns so it's not even like you could go off it with any speed even if you wanted to!

I have always found ghetto to be nicer to ride than the new red. Mind you I am massively jealous as I have only ever managed to ride there when it has been damp so it makes the place a little interesting.

50-1 however is just beyond nuts

Ditto, the bottom half of Ghetto Track was my preferred way to get back to the car park rather than the red run. It was more technical but as you said I just found it to be the 'nicer' run.

Here’s some of my lad being all stylish on 50:01, and one of me keeping the bike completely straight for maximum aerodynamic efficiency 😉

Nice vid. Thought it looked like you wouldn't have had any problem ridding some of those black jump/drop things you dodged.

Stylish or straight, if you can ride 50/1 at all that's good enough for me!

Thanks man, I had actually been riding them on my first day (on the Friday) but as I'd done a 22km loop at Llandegla Saturday and then went back to Revs on Sunday to I was just bloody knackered and was starting to feel the bigger hits in my arms. haha

Great vid btw, what GoPro do you use?

Our old Hero 3 is too shaky on a chest mount.

2nd section of freeride, there’s 2 lovely step down kickers on the right, you could definitely hit them next time you’re easily fast enough. Just don’t do Degla the day before!

Excellent video, appears to give a real feel of what the place is like. Not many videos do that!

Ghetto looks nuts.

I'm using a Hero 4 on a gimbal, had both the Hero 5 and Hero 6 on Chesty Mounts in the past and my current setup runs circles around both! Yer I did hit those jumps on a few of my runs on Friday but I wasn't filming due to cloud cover and the prospect of heavy rain at any moment!

Thanks man, I do try to keep my videos as accurate as possible. I never film anything in Superview now as it flattens things out and gives an artificial sense of higher speed. The standard 'wide' view I'm using on the Hero 4 give a more true to life perspective, although it still does flatten things a bit.

Couple of picture from Revs too, this was really the only one I took that even came close to showing a true perspective of how big the jumps on the 50/1 line look.

I think the jump pictured here is 9a (25ft Shark Fin) which believe it or not is one of the smaller jumps on the run!

some of the potholes on the ghetto track (and i assume some of them are braking bumps) looks absolutely horrific

I think the first is 24’ then they gradually get a bit bigger. I paced out the moon booter at around 30’ I think.

To be honest I'm not even sure how much of that is supposed to be there and how much is just wear and tear, either way it makes for quite a challenging little run!

Yep, first hip is 24' and the biggest of the run is jump 9c, the 55' triple option nearer the bottom, mental!

so it makes the place a little interesting.

Haha, I was there in April and it was just a squirm-fest on every landing. I'm going back to give the jumps at the top of the Freeride track a proper go in the dry though as they're soo much fun.

Great Vid Sprinter, really does the place justice, I loved the 90deg drop offs, it you timed it right you could push the front over the drop as the rear came round, managed it once (it was v slippy). The worst for me was the last jump from the ghetto woods section into the clear, in the wet the takeoff is well slippy...

Thanks man, glad people are noticing the 'accuracy' of the filming as that's what I aim for.

When I was there last Friday (13th) it absolutely chucked it down from around 3pm onwards, the trails went from bone dry to literally having torrents of water running down them in about 15-20 minutes. Last couple of runs down certainly made you concentrate, that slate gets slippy real fast in the rain...

Yer I get the feeling the key to those 90 degree drops is attacking them at an angle from the top, thus reducing the effective angle of the turn. Enter at 20 degrees and the corner is only 70 degrees etc.
