You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Bike lights charged, bike working, long sleeves, beer ready on return.
Out on my own so don't want to have forgotten anything.
Blunderbus for scaring away weirwolves and wooden stakes to dispose of vampires.
Sadly there isn't much you can do about the frankenbadger.
Freewheel?
Gears?
yeah, yeah...
The click noise from free wheels attracts ninja badgers
mates?
Never had any before.
You've checked your neighbour hasn't been cucumber shopping?
mates? - I think it was a reference in case you got 'lucky' on your ride 😉
camera?
Phone, spare light, £5, IPOD
From recent experience, spare tubes without holes in them and a head torch for mending punctures.
Head torch or minimag to hold in your mouth in case of drivetrain/tyre problems. I favour headtorch, cos holding a torch in my mouth makes me gag. 😯
or dribble lots!
WCA you seem to have chosen the worst night (weatherwise) to go out in for some time...
always good to have a backup torch like a fenix, also works helmet mounted
where did you go then?
Hip flask? Essential for night riding. Not sure work will approve if I use it on the way in tomorrow, but **** it, it's dark 🙂
We that was short but fun.
Lights = Head torch, it is all you really need around Lordswood. Having said that when I went down the wrong path, I turned around and couldn't see any path, just lots of leaves. Damn autumn.
Also discovered that light I charged fully a few days ago will go stop working about 40 minutes into the ride if the god children have played 'camping' and used the torches to explore the wardrodes.
Phone - I remembered that before I left.
Puncture repair stuff - Back tyre tubeless, front a cyclocross thing with no spare tube. Probably should have taken tools and patches but was only going up the local woods.
All in all, great fun.
PS Still fixie with no lock nut and not dead.
Inspired. I will ride tonight. Lets hope the lights are charged sufficiently for a short one.
And I did. Round the local hills for a couple of hours with a combination of no lighting and a 10W halogen. Amazing fun, really brought back the fun of whipping along singletrack with no-one around and no sounds but the beating of my own heart and the sheep legging it away.
Always funny to crest a hill and see 100 eyes looking at you!
coffeeking - It was raining where I was so not that many doggers
😆
Sheep, man, sheep 🙂
...like a furry man sandwich!
