Because where I live becomes a quagmire when it’s rained and this is the first dry spell we’ve had since the beginning of summer. 🙁

I do commute by bike three days a week, but it still feels good to properly get out for a ride, even if it’s only my local loop. Nothing too technical, apart from a couple of stair sets and a few drops off canal lock walls. 🙂

Four weeks?  The last leisure ride I did, without kids was back in 2021 I think.  I now have a folding bike that I take to work on certain shifts that I can use in lieu of a taxi to get me between locations but does that count as a leisure ride? I mean, it's not commuting as such...

Anyway, sorry to rain on your parade, glad you enjoyed it.  Little one starts school on weds so fingers crossed this results in some extra free time to rediscover solo rides

I often have lay-offs, but been out more than ever this year - 14 leisure rides since the start of August
