You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've been using SPDs since the mid 90's but am toying with giving flats another go. I tried the spd trail pedals and found them neither one thing or the other. I actually felt more secure in my regular SPDs.
I've ordered a pair of Wellgo B185's from CRC as I know Wellgo have a good reputation and they seem very light (which is what I want).
I've also spotted the Delgao pedals from On One which are heavier but look more easily serviced.
I don't want to spend big first time out, so am wondering which out of these would be the better option.
The purpose will be for trail centre riding only (no dedicated dh work)
The B185s are pretty thick... Whether that really bothers you or not is another question, I always feel happier on a thin pedal. Delgados look like a HT pedal so should be decently reliable etc. Nanos are a good known quantity. Don't think you'll go too wrong with any of these tbh.
Wellgo Mag1 and 5/10's is the standard answer because the pedals are light and grippy and the 5/10's are duper sticky too.
It's a £120 solution though, or there abouts.
Why ask when youve already ordered a pair?
