Took my Calibre Dune for its first ride today, so dropped down to the beach. 10 minutes from my door, so the closest off-road biking I've got. It was good fun bombing through the water, carving turns in the sand and wheeling along the beach 😎
Which chain lube for fatbike on the beach?

Riding bikes is ace ♠️
Awesome. Great bike that.
Now rinse it 😉👍
That does look good. When I can no longer be bothered to ride into the hills one of those will be on my list.
It was well rinsed down with the hose pipe once I got home, as were my legs!
It isn't a replacement for the hills, the beach is more convenient- 10 minutes ride to the beach verses 25 minutes to the hills plus loading/unloading bike and gear.
Beach riding far betterer than road riding though.
New bike day is the best! 😀
As for chain lube I expect that a wax-based variant would be best as the sand won't stick to it. I use White Lightning Clean Ride, albeit not in the beach, and am impressed with how clean my chain stays.
It may be worth waxing the frame & fork to help reduce any salt clinging to the paintwork.
What about graphite dry lube? Nothing'll stick to that
I'll check out the graphite lube if my wax lube struggles.
Looking forward to finding the time to head further up the coast next time. Must remember to check the tide times.
looks like great fun. Great bike too.
