I had one of those as a kid 😎
I had a white one with Tuffs and some massive CW bars. Old school!
I had a white one as well, with white skyways.
when I bought it i remember meeting the rep for DP (it might have actually been Dave Park) ,in dales cycles when it was in Maryhill, and he was hitting a frame with a hammer to show how good the powder coating was
DP...white with black Z-Rims.
It was a warranty replacement after the chrome fell off the original.
Funny, the chrome fell off my delta 2 aswell.
I remember Glynn Lewis coming to our trails, something like 20 years ago now with a mint signature one ( Rufty Tufty?). Remember thinking he seemed very dodgy.
Ooohhhh. I had one too. Chrome one. I am sure there should be a DP cut into the gusset behind the seat tube though.

Think he had a few issues, he lived with Dave Park for a while until he set his kitchen on fire
I saved up for one if these for ages and ages in the 80's - £79.95 iirc for a frame and forks. Already had a cheapo donor BMX that had been slowly upgraded. Went into the bike shop in Grimsby all bright eyed and bushy tailed near Christmas to get one, and they had sold out. Gutted. They took pity on me and sold me a very slightly shop soiled display model GT Pro Performer frame and forks for the same money. We were dirt poor at the time and it was the first really nice bike I owned!
Out of interest where did you get it from?
Wouldn't mind a little project building one up
I bought it in OT Cycles, Dartford ca.1983.
It occurs to me that I would pay a fair bit for a new build of this frame and fork set.
Banana yellow mail order special one for me, silly high CW bars and Araya 7X's...
Nice .
I had this bought for me in or around 1984 from OT cycles (East Hill shop) .
It was a Super Burner until a while later I razored off the gold and bought some Skyways .

@eulach are they z-rims?
I gave mine away to my then girlfriends wee brother. I later found out that he didn't ride it as it had plastic wheels!!!!
I would love to get it back but I know he doesn't have it anymore

I bought the z rims on ebay but they were laced to a strange hub so I got some suntours which better fit the build. Wide flange shimanos would have been better but time, money and availability.
The rims cleaned up ok - I haven't got access to a shotblaster so not perfect.
Are those brake calipers dia comp Mx? If my memory serves me correctly, they were war everyone wanted on their freestyle bike.
Come to think of it, why do modern BMX not have front brakes? How do they manage to do endo's / endo 360's?
Tioga spider, ah the memories!
Loved my Zrims BITD but kept breaking hub flanges with the constantly changing spoke tension from sideways landings.
Also had some Shimano DX brake levers that pushed the outer cable rather than pulled the inner cable.
Very short lever but still worked* better than any other brake lever at the time.
*Still ultimatley not as well as dragging your foot on the tyre or ground.😱
I had one too - I think my profile pic is me with it! Bought from Cowleys in Northallerton. I used to race it (badly) at the summer series races at Northallerton and Teesside Airport.
Mine was chrome and the chrome bubbled and came off on the forks. Had all the gear that was good but affordable like Suntour Power Stem, Araya 7X wheels, Dia Compe MX brakes, Elina seat, etc. Sold it for £50 to a bloke on Croydon around 2001.

Don't do what I did and look for one on eBay. They are a bit pricey
The levers and the MX 890 are original, I think the MX1000 is a "fake", it's lost the adjuster and quick release anyhow. I'm not sure what to do with the brakes, the intention was to build it back to as it was when I was a boy and the brakes are original parts taken from my Huffy.
They are a bit pricey
If you can find a buyer. It is quite expensive to build, I'm up to 200 so far including cleaning materials, acid etc. and I haven't got handlebars, seatpost, chain or brakepads yet.
Lots of the parts are reissues, poor quality and overpriced (much like they were in the 80s) and original survivor parts are really expensive or rotten.
nice 👍
Nice job 👍
