Got the short sleeved version of the Ecto - it's brilliant. No idea how it compares to the RAB though!

Just to confuse the issue I've got a RAB and rate it highly, no idea about the Ecto though.

The down Rab is likely to pack smaller than the Primaloft of the Ecto, but won't cope with damp as well.

I've seen some cheap RAB Generators knocking about ... make a nice compromise 😉

The finesterre! I've got a jacket and a body warmer and they're the best bits of clothing I own.

As above the Etobicoke is a really nice jacket, but haven't seen the RAB to compare. I'd guess you probably won't go wrong either way.

I bought an Etobicoke recently, utterly brilliant jacket!

Packs down very small and folds into it's own pillow, thereby facilitating extreme all mountain freestyle kips on National Express/the train 😛

I take it everywhere with me now.
