I've been talking about it for a while, got it all set up and had a couple of rides. Added a few other bits too - 180mm One Up dropper still waiting to be fitted needing the right lever/cable/actuator interface

Little bit wandery on climbs, but bearable - may tweak the cockpit a bit. On the flats and downs it absolutely flies - totally transformed the bike.

Going to call it 50 shades of orange, as there's a bit of a difference going on, but it kinda works. Liking the Fox mudguard that bolts on without the need for cable ties

Yes, garden etc...

when you say "mulleted" what exactly did you do to complete this ? Just put new 29er forks in? Or do you have a flipchip ? or chainstay adjustment ? Or.... well.... ?

Just 29'ed the front end. Always felt I was over the front a bit on steeps - 5 year old geometry. Reach will be shortened a bit, but that suits my body shape - long legs, short torso. HA gone from 65 to 64 deg

Did you shorten travel Dave? Or leave it at the same plus the bigger wheel?

Did you alter the suspension ? We found yesterday that the rear needed to be several clicks faster on the back due to a difference in weight distribution with the mulleted back end (and that was on a frame that has a flip-chip to compensate too)

Stayed the same, considered going 10mm shorter but read that Fox sit into their travel a bit - these don't seem to, but might do when they bed in. Came from Lyriks

Noticed yesterday that the back end needed a bit of adjustement - was coming up behind me on rollers. Been thinking about a heavier spring anyway too as it sits a bit low - even more so now. Just shifted the saddle forward a bit ahead of todays ride

Looks like a weapon.

Do you think you can get away with a slightly higher BB on an eeb, since they have such a low COG?

Been on a Peak ride today and it was perfect. Was getting far too many pedal strikes before tbf

The orange on the blue looks flipping ace.

Having owned the original g1 kenevo the geometry is certainly dated, it was when it was released to be honest. I always felt over the front of it.
The g2 which I currently own is leagues ahead and works brilliantly with the 29" front end with fox 40's.
Glad you are enjoying the g1 still though. I can't believe how little kenevos go for now 2nd hand. I still think it's the best eeb available.
