i finally decided i'd had enough of the hardtail, and wanted a full sus again so i went and got one at the weekend...
i left it in the boot of the car for a few days due to a family wedding but i was itching to let loose with the tools...
i finally got round to doing it yesterday and i'm pretty pleased with my efforts...
all it needs now is a longer chain...and the brake hoses to be shortened

there's no such thing in the north west!! 😀
whether its dry or wet its always a hoot so i'm hoping to give it a run out as soon as the chain is sorted...i'll have to take the semi slicks off and stick some proper tyres on though...

But don't, whatever you do, change the gold seat post clamp.

Also, I love the lasso in the hose for the front brake. Nice touch 😉

you've read the other posts then? 😀
it will get upgraded as soon as it dies so i can justify the expense to the missus who's been wanting me to fork out to get the garden done...

why the rear light?

it was on the seatpost which came off the hardtail, which was the donor bike. that bike also had to carry out commuting duties so that's why its on...this one will probably do the same until the hardtail gets rebuilt hence why its staying on there... 😆

every cowboy bike builder should have one IMO.... 😉
seriously though the brake originally was on a pair of triple clamps before if ended up on these forks....and i've always been a bit too lazy so never bothered to get the hose shortened....but i suppose i'll now have to...or as its a hayes 9 i might swap it with the rear brake and buy a new front one...
