I seem to get these with pumps for fixing the mount to the frame if I don't want to use bottle mounts, and judging by the dozen in the bike junk box there is something else that get supplied with them.
Never found a use for one that wasn't served just as well with a normal cable tie.
This morning sat in the sun away from work for ten minutes I was reorganising my bike tool roll ahead of the weekend trip away and I finally found a use for them, holding loose spanners together in the roll.
Anyone else found a use for them other than mudguards that get taken off and replaced on a regular basis?

I tie the Mrs to the headboard.

I've got a pegboard with her outline on in the shed for that so I can tell at a glance if she's been 'borrowed' by anyone.

I use them for loads of things.....

- got one on the back of my helmet as a cable guide for the light battery (probably not very relevant for more modern lights)
- use them to hold short sections of pipe lagging onto the end of my handlebars to stop my metal bar ends from scratching up the car interior
- I used one the other week while replacing the forks on my Inbred to secure the handlebar/stem etc. to the frame while the fork was removed
- holding the levers to the bars while doing a brake bleed (if a required step in the process)

They last for ages - I've got a pack that must be 10 years old and because they are re-usable they don't get used once, snipped off & chucked in the bin.

That's more spanners than I used working as a bike mechanic

As stumpy01 - use for all sorts of bike related and non-bike related things. I gathered mine from working with cabling up servers in my old job.

When replacing a chain - zip tie the mech to the chain stay to keep it from springing back.
Someone had some off me for fixing a torch to his lid to use for night-riding.
Holding bikes on car rack to stop bits rattling/wobbling
- all sorts that don't spring to mind - my garage floor is littered with them!
Non-bike - I use them to keep cables bunched for my strimmer/jet wash etc.

A much unwanted Christmas present.
What cyclist these days needs more than the spanner to remove brake hoses?
If I use anything other than an 8mm it is on someone elses bike.
I don't even have a car to muck about with.

As soon as people know you ride bikes you are doomed to get novelty bike bits, generic big glossy books and stupid socks for every birthday/Christmas.
Some one took the trouble to find out about Park Tools and bought me the set and it was a really nice gesture, but they'll never get used.
I of course have to take them with the other bits to show how much I appreciate them.

I use them to create snares for the seagulls that poop all over my car.

Just kidding, I love all nature. Except seagulls. And midgies but I don't have any cable ties small enough to catch them

I use one when travelling loaded, against the lever to stop the bike rolling away when lent against a wall, also helps stop someone riding the bike away, wouldn't rely on it alone but it will certainly slow them down.

If they don't remove it 🙂
Had a bloke mow my lawn once. He cut the removable zip tie off the cable with scissors. I was quite upset.

Oh Buggeration!

Would've saved a few million quid if they stuck with that boredom relief.

I use a velcro wrap (the type that comes with a laptop charger) to secure my brake lever on when stopped. Good on the train or when parked up loaded

Best use I've had was to hold my bar harness against my head tube. Worked better that the velcro wrap or salsa strap I had before

For other stuff I've discovered Voile straps, liking them so far

Timing chips on forks. Removes the needs for pliers at events.
