I have a trip to Finale booked for 2nd week September, like everyone else at the moment I'm waiting with anticipation to hear if we can still go.

Just wondered if anyone else has any similar trips booked and may have heard any news?

@groundskeeperwilly Have you received any word from who you booked with?
We're going with MTB Beds, we get a regular e-mail update but no firm news as you might expect really.

I'd say chances are very good. As soon as the stupid UK quarantine rules get binned (mid July?) travel within Europe should be fine.

We're racing the EWS/Trophy of Nations at the end of September, so fingers crossed we're all good for then 🙂

Flights were booked pre CoVid-19 and our accomodatation is a small little hotel who are happy with the booking & we have some private uplifts booked for the week (which are still in place).

I have seen some of the shops are shuttling already now - so fingers crossed we're good to go. Only hope one or two races happen in the UK before, as going into that as a first race of the year, might be a little wild!

We have our fingers crossed that our Sospel, San Remo, Finale trip (last two weeks in September) will still be going ahead. Tunnel and campsite in Finale were booked before lock down. Will wait until last minute to decide.
We have pulled the plug on our Lake Garda and Alps trip in a couple of weeks and moved the bookings on to same time next year. Got to contact tunnel after Friday to find out what they will let us do.

I think it's all down to the UK quarantine rules for you guys. I'm in France and friends have travelled down to Finale this week, I might head down next week. Accommodation, cafes, restaurants are all open with some restrictions. Shuttles are starting back up, although are a bit more limited just now that pre-coronavirus obviously. On a similar note, our bikeparks are already open or opening up here in France and in Switzerland and Austria.
Just keep hoping that 1) the virus continues to be controlled in the UK (as well as everywhere else) allowing continued easing of restrictions and 2) the UK's leaders realise that if 99% of the world has a lower circulation of the virus than your country, quarantine isn't going to make much difference...(and all of us catering to the anglophone MTB market on the continent would really really like it if everyone gets to go on their holidays this summer!!!!)
