You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Had Findhorn on my MTB todo list for a while after reading an article in SingleTrack magazine a good while back. Got to visit the area few weeks ago to ride some single trk. Probably a lot more there but could not see it. Try the other side of the river next time. Dava way itself was just a means to an end.
#bikepacking #weekend adventure along the Dava Way Grantown to Forress. Culbin beach beautiful remote empty (no car access)
Nice video, making me want to load up my fatbike and go camping which is never a bad thing!
Was it the beach at Culbin that you camped at? Quite a network of fireroads in the woods there. If you go to the village of Findhorn you can ride several miles East on the wide sandy beach to Burghead, also a decent beach to camp on in the dunes. If the tide is in then there's the Moray Coastal Trail at the top if the beach you can use, which takes you through Roseisle woods where there are more trails.
.. many many trails in Roseisle forest... and by Burghead..
if you're happy exploring, and prepared to backtrack / get a bit lost, it's very rewarding.
Useful maps here

Dava Way good on a touring bike. Culbin, Roseisle an Lossie firmly on the Fatty Hit List.
steezysix: thank you
Downhill fast: yes Culbin beach having travelled through the forest. Thanks for the info. Will put on the todo list.
Kcal: Roseisle Forest noted. Would not think so looking at the os map. Trail forks. Yes need to allocate a proper visit to the area.
Fasgadh: awesome thanks 👍
Nice video , I grew up around here but live in East lothian now . Might come up and do the same route after watching this. I did the speyside way this year which was pretty stop start on a cx bike. Nicely done.
Nice video. I spent my youth ragging my bike around those clifftop trails along the Findhorn gorge....no idea how I didn't end up in the river!
Stanfree: thanks 👍 one of the reasons I do the videos is to promote Scotland, the least obvious parts.
Alanw2007: yes the trees and undergrowth disguised the proximity to the near vertical edge in many places. Quite a way down if you stopped and looked 😱
