Mine's about to arrive and I've been thinking about what front chainring to use. I'm running 2x10 at the mo with a SRAM 12-36 rear and 22t+34t front. I'm an Aberdeenista (Kirkhill/Pitfichie/Glenlivet) so any suggestions on front sprocket for a 29er full-suss? I've also entered Ardrock Sportive...
I've seen some posts about the big jump from 15t to 19t so in order to fix my stupid 12t and give a better mid-cassette jump, I've got my hands on a little-used PG1050 11-23t which will give me an 11t and a 16t.

32t front, 17t removed rear. Forget the numpties who say its too big a jump, I'm mega sensitive to anything bike related, and its fine. More than fine.

I'm Perthshire based, so similar'ish trails.

32t front and 42t rear give you the same ratio you had using a 3x9 with a 32 rear.
