Friend of mine's is looking to get a new full susser. She is finding it difficult to identify bikes that would be ideal for her height, 5 foot 3".

Just looking to get feedback from anyone who is the same height and has a bike that they would recommend? Ta!

(extra info Budget is £3K, bike will be used for trail centres mainly).

I'm 5'5" and can't say I've had a problem with getting a bike to fit although all mine are men's. Mojo has a short tt and reckon a small would fit, as would Santa Cruz Superlight/Juliana whatever they call it now. What wheel size?

Edit: Orange Diva?

Specialized Rumor Elite is right on budget at £3K and should be perfect for trail centres. A Juliana (several frame options available) would be the obvious alternative, but would probably be more of a compromise on spec for £3K but certainly possible. Trek Lush would be well in budget too for the ally version at £2500

What's she riding at the moment? Does she like it? Would a newer version of the same bike be suitable?

Cant comment on female specific bikes as me and the girls all ride men's bikes but with women's saddles. Best advice I could give is that she tries as many as possible before she decides. If she already has a saddle that she gets on with then its well worth the time to bolt it onto what ever is been tried. Most of the shops we have used have always been eager to help
