You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Heading to the Lakes in a few weeks' time for 4-5 days riding. I know the area pretty well, but would love to know peoples' favourite bits - either sections of trail or entire loops. Feel free to include cheeky bits 😉
Cheeky loop from Hartsop up along Satura crag, angle tarn and down past Esk hause.
The descent from sprinkling tarn down to stockley bridge is juanking tackle.
@Nobeerinthefridge - Think you mean Boredale Hause sir?
I'd extend that ride along the Ullswater lakeshore path to Sandwick, up Beda Fell (on great singletrack) down to Boredale Hause to descend whichever of the parallel trails to Side Farm you've not already ridden (they're both ace).
Oops! Yes, you're right sir!
Up Helvellyn from Glennridding Keppel cove descending via nethermost pike, Birkside to Wythburn returning by the carry up the gill to grisedale tarn and Patterdale probably one of the best descents ever on "the big H"
juanking tackle.....that's a new one on me!
Anyone thoughts on using Harter Fell as a shortcut on the Nan Bield route??
Anyone thoughts on using Harter Fell as a shortcut on the Nan Bield route??
Technical but mostly all rideable, I've done it a couple of times.
None of the walkers care, you're far enough out of the way and off the beaten track that they're "proper walkers" rather than the all-the-gear lots who never go more than 300m from the car park.
Navigation can be a bit of an issue if the weather comes in though, there are a few short sections where it's not an obvious track at all.
What they said rideable with care and harder than Nan Bield
