I've done gooooogling, I've done forum searches, and I'm still surprised at how few vendors I can find in the UK for fat bikes. I'm open to different manufacturers, and was also pricing up a 907 kit imported in.
I'm just looking for people to really pipe up if they've got a fatty where they got it from, and if they know of any deals, that includes anyone on here who might be vendors.
I await your help for my trembling addiction with joy.
There is us and Charlie The Bike Monger.
Between us we do the most volume. ALthough it must be said, there is less volume sold than there is air in the tyres.
Saying that we have a few Pug orders and a frame inbound that went this week so they do shift along nicely.
907 i think come from the lands far far away.
i imported my Mukluk myself from Bikeman in the states.
They're now available along with most of the Surly/Salsa products from any LBs that deals with Ison.
Though they don't seem to bring much stuff in and it sells out quite fast.
Oh almost forgot to say how much fun you'll have if you do get one. 😀
As Mark says, plus sideways Tim has stuff too
Think we have one free stock white Pug 18 due November. Might be having that one meself though for my commute. 95% off road through the woods for 6.5 miles warrants one i think.
Aye we do a bit. Demo Pug in store, in talks with Bill at 9:Zero:7.
As said above, it's either in short supply or not cheap though.
Are any of you guys doing separate kit ie. wheels, b/b's, frames or is it built to order only?

Do you mean not made in Alaska, but rather in the Far East?

Did you have much hassle/time to wait and was it a frame only or a full build? I used to bring in air suspension kits for cars from Canada and it was always a lottery on being stung on import/VAT/handling. That was a few years ago now so I don't know if things have changed.
For those that vend I'd be looking at a large/20" as I struggle with medium/18. What sort of lead time is there on delivery? Feel free to email me if you wanted userworldobject at gmail dot com
Thanks for all the replies so far.
Demo pug here... But next week as it's coming surfing in Cornwall: big beaches and massive dunes at penhale.
Basically I am offering anything fat that we can find. Got some good deals on too. Right now we have some mukluks and a lot of tubes. With other bikes showing up at the end of the year.
You ask about deals... Mukluks
Delivery time on a large mukluk. How does Tuesday sound?

It's not a lottery, you import stuff, you pay the duty and taxes due - simple really.
You can buy off the peg for ease, get a full, mostly working bike (Mukluik, I'm talking about you here!) or go custom and get what you actually want.
Built this for a guy yesterday...

Hey, there's me at KoolRida Cycles
I sell the TommiSea - Fat Sand Bikes!
My demo bike has just landed, and there is soon to be a 22 speed Ti framed Ultimate Terrain Destroyer available!
Fat is where it's at!
Keep Pedalling in Manchester have got Pugsleys and Mukluks in stock.
As I mentioned in another thread - on one had a protype they were cycling around Hebden Bridge (and offering all and sundry a play with) on Sunday.
Not sure how much more work or not is needed before they start/decide to start production; but the one they had seemed to be working well enough.

Praps if you tried looking for 'retailers' instead, you might be more successful. 😉
