I was just over hearing a conversation in the office regarding how a Batchelor's instant noodle box was "60% less fat than pot noodle*
I just sat there chuckling to myself that educated individuals do not see through these shocking and misleading claims. I felt like chirping up and saying "now lets think about this for a moment. Are noodles carb or fat ... maybe you should look at the sugar content "
The best one I saw recently was Henry Goode's Soft Classic Liquorice which prided itself on being only 2% fat!!!
My daughter is Type 1 diabetic trying to find proper information about the amount of carbs in food can be a real minefield. Weirdest thing is that McDonalds is by far the best company for providing a break down of their food.
We ate at Prezzo's on the way back from a trip out on Sunday night, my daughter just wanted a kids pizza, nowhere do they provide any nutritional information at all, not even on their website. The young lad that was a waiter there saw my daughters insulin pump and then showed her his as well, he said he rarely ate at work due to the fact they wouldn't produce any info.
I think the worst thing though is things like this that pretend they are "healthy" with a name like Vit-Water, each bottle has 32g of pure sugar more than a can of Coke

it isn't misleading if it actually does contain 60% less fat. Also sugar isn't the same as carbs hence why they list both.
Sugar is 100% fat free. This is all the knowledge you need to start an argument with the types that take food label claims seriously.
sugar is also 100% natural
Instant noodles are surprisingly high in fat. They are deep fried to dehydrate them. A pot noodle is 16g of fat per pot.
