Hi all,
Moon on the stick content probably
Just started commuting using my xc bike, sticking with this bike as running tubeless and sealant means I shouldn't ever need to change a tube etc on the way to work.
Currently got Maxxis Beaver on there, and these are great off road xc tyres but really draggy on the road.
Anyone got some good suggestions for a tyre that will be ace off and on road aswell?
Don't mind the cost of changing them regularly if they wear out as the money I am saving not owning a car can buy a lot of new bike tyres!
Cheers
Thunder Burt 2.1 for max speed.
Xking 2.2 or Rocket Ron (either size) for speed with a quite a lot of versatility.
Look at the rolling resistance site
Thunder Burt or Maxxis Pace.
Something like a racing ralph, as you need to use it off-road. The older evo snakeskin ones should be cheaper now the new ones have a fancy additive and a stripe on them.
Continental X-King's v good for for me. I cycle to work on them sometimes (15 miles on the road) then off road on the way home.
Sidewalls aren't super strong, but I think that's inevitable if you want a light fast rolling tyre.
Beeline? Not used them on the road much but quick in the dry
WTB Nano ?
Maxxis Ikon?

My Rocket Ron 27.5+ is good too.
Chilled, yes. 2Bliss = Tubeless.
Thunderburts as long as it's not wet off road or Ralphs.
