I've got a pair of Adidas terex trail cross which are nae bad. Stealth rubber soles, not a lot of foam padding, Narrow fit though so not for everyone. I really like them

If your shoes absolutely positively have to be dry overnight, buy a shoe dryer

I have been thinking about this. My impacts have taken 2 days to dry in this weather let alone winter, do you use a electric one or passive?

The price of five tens on the adidas site with discount codes and cashback
It may be worth getting another pair and alternating.

In winter under the radiator and stuffed with newspaper balls overnight then remove paper next morning and leave to dry another day. The paper gets the majority of the moisture out

The on ones are just the right stiffness.stiffer than a skate shoe but not too stiff.they grip fine but will not be sticky like 5 10s.

I use something looks like this; will dry 4 pairs in an evening no problem (which we sometimes have to do as a family)

shoe dryer

newspaper

We've not had newspaper in out house for a decade, news is delivered by iPad now. I've tried stuffing a couple of iPads in wet shoes instead, it does not work and invalidates the iPad warranty.

My Fiveten impact vxi dry very quickly, there's not much padding wise to get wet really. I tend to wear sealskinz below them in winter, so in reality it matters not a jot whether they're dry or not.

Only one pair of shoes?

Get a cheap pair as back up or for less gnarly rides. Decent best shoes for other occasions. Maybe

Ended up combining two pieces of advice, bought some Spec 2F0 for home routes around the dales and reserving the Impacts for more gnarr sessions

I'm currently experimenting with a sock in each shoe filled with 500g of silica gel, tied off with an elastic band.
