Looking for some reccomendations for some fast rolling tyres for my 29er Hardtail.
Currently have Schwalbe Tough Tom on from when I bought it.
I mainly use my Hardtail for Canal bashing which is a mixture of gravel, tarmac and hard pack mud track.
Someone who I spoke to recommended Continental race King which he used to do the full length of the Leeds,Liverpool Canal last month.

One of the semi slicks maybe? Rock Razor or... whatever the XC version is called, Really Fast Robin or whatever. Bit of grip when it's slimy, super fast when it's firmer

I like Kenda Kozmik Lite II tyres (the Pro version just seems to be the US's version of the SCT tubeless version sold in Europe).

I'm keen to try Vittoria's new Terreno Cross Country when they're released (although they look like they might be a bit spendy). Unfortunately when I contacted Vittoria to ask about a release date they insisted that I needed to contact Fisher Outdoor Leisure in the UK; they haven't got back to me (although they're hardly likely to know, if Vittoria haven't started manufacturing them yet).

Having cause to race a 29er HT over much the same terrain as you describe, I can recommend the Race King (make sure it's Black Chilli flavour) out front, and a Maxxis Ikon or Maxxis Pace if you want to save a few £, on the rear (in Exo carcass). If the terrain gets a bit more steep, or conditions a bit more slimey, I usually run a Mountain King on the front, but leave the rear unchanged. I like to be able to steer my way down a slick bank, but find the benefits of speed on tarmac and flat sections means sticking with a fast rear tyre will make up for any wheel spin on the ups.

In the dry, 2.35" G-One Speed Evos are awesome, but in the wet they are like Bambi on ice.
