Currently running Michelin Country trail on my 26er Hardtail.
Now I usually keep to hardpack, canals and roads on my hardtail. Looking for some faster rolling tyres.
Been looking at the cheap versions of Conti x king and race king.
Are these any good? Or any other options.
Race king on the Mrs bike seem decent enough, most brands have an equivalent small block fast rolling tyre though, specialzed fast track is another example.
Ralph's. Top of the rolling resistance test guy's chart. I hold PRs on road segments on my rigid MTB with these, that I normally do on the road bike.
These ones OK?
2.25 front and 2.1 back?
I have a ralph as a back tyre, I like it.. did have one on the front but found it a little bit sketchy so switched to a slightly chunkier rocket ron.
Rolling resistance isn't everything, hence a lot of people use a slicker tyre on the back, and slightly more chunky one up front.
Ralph’s. Top of the rolling resistance test guy’s chart
Actually not. The Ron out performs it in the latest tests due to less tread on the ground I think he said without me looking for the review.
Vittoria mezcal on the rear and Vittoria peyote on the front, very happy with them, good grip aswell.
