Looking for a fast rolling 2.2-2.25, tubeless ready and relatively low weight tyre to match a Hans Hanmpf 2.35 upfront.
Generally will be used in loose/rocky wet/dry conditions with no mud for trail duties.
Crossmark 2.25 LUST seems good...but at 950gms seems a bit on the heavy side.
Would dropping to 2.1 drastically reduce grip in the conditions I mention?
Cheers
Racing Ralph or Furious Fred, depending how extreme you want to take fast rolling and light weight...
My current summer option for the rear - may well break it out this week 😆 - is a Crossmark EXO in 2.1" in 62a compound.
Fast rolling, quite light and the EXO sidewalls stand up well to the rocks in the Peak District.
A part-worn 2.25 CrossMark gets my vote for trail riding works very well in a wide variety of conditions and remarkably drag-free.
If you want to stay with Schwalbe a 2.25 Rocket Ron makes a sensational dry weather rear - light, fast & grippy but with a lifetime measured in hours
