Anyone been?
I start work at 2pm tomorrow so I'm thinking of having a blast in the morning, I ride generally red routes, did black at llandegla yesterday. Ride a Hardtail though, and not much of a jumper.
Reckon it's worth a shot, or just go to Lee Quarry?

The top half is by far the most popular as the push up is easier and the surface a lot more man made so it tends to hold up better in wet weather, if you don't like jumps then this half won't interest you much as it's pretty much just a collection of jumps and bridges.
Once you go further down the hill it gets a bit steeper, more natural and is obviously a lot slippier when it's wet. After today's rain it would be a bit lively down there, so unless your idea of a good time is sliding around in the mud, I'd go Lee Quarry.
I took a day off a couple of weeks ago to go there. Definitely worth a go for a few hours. I was stretching it a bit to make a full day of it, but really enjoyed it.

Is sorely disappointed that this wasn't a tyre thread. Farmer Johns were a promising contender in the one sided tyre war against Specialized's Ground Controls back in the day.

I lusted after Kona tyres. Front and rear specific. The front was even WIDER than the rear. Who'd have thought. Scratch and Sniff IIRC.
Also, some Tioga Beartrap pedals. The most incarnations of a pedal ever. A bit like the Rocky films. (or the Fast and the Furious for our younger dwellers)
Yeah, who needed suspension with a big Kona 2.2 up front?
Same principle now for me. Fully rigid with 2.4'' up front (or even 3'' on silly days)
