Currently running Renthal fatbar 31.8mm 20mm rise, cut down to 740mm (had since before lite version), 50mm stem on one bike 70mm on other

fancy a change, nothing against Renthal but I’m bored of the gold and tempted to go 35mm clamp (just because)

So if I were to stick with Renthal my options are

New Black 35mm bars 800mm Alu  (loads of length to play around with) £70

35mm carbon fatbar 780mm £105

35mm carbon lite 740mm £90

I'm not actually fussed about carbon (scared of over tightening and crashing), am happy on 740mm but might be time to try wider and I have a 40mm long 35mm clamp stem

What would you choose, or any better suggestions?

Chromag. BZA if you want 35mm or Cutlass if you don’t. Get a matching Chromag stem too as they are also super nice!!

Big fan of my carbon Chromag bars which seem very comfy compared to the awfulness that were my SixC bars.

Not 35mm but if you wanted to stick to your current stem set up, I'd highly recommend the USE Ultimate Nail bar in aluminium. Beautiful subtle matt black finish, 780mm width and 235g for a 780mm bar... Best of all £55 from CR at the moment. Really pleased with the one I've just got my hands on. The page lists them at 10mm rise, this is wrong, they're 20mm...

And USE do a carbon version as well! - Very light and works well though a bit more cash! I would try to shorten your stem some if you are going to go wider. If you havwe the time there is a great podcast from Cy at Cotic about his longshot stuff which includes a good explanation about shorter stems.
