You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I have tried to search the forum but I’m not sure all the results from 14 years ago that come up are going to be that relevant!
4 of us to Morzine at the end of the month. 2 weeks away but will only ride for 5 or 6 of those.
Last year lots of ‘standard’ results on the comparison sites included mountain biking but I can’t find any now…but some will do it as an add-on but that requires a phone call and everything is shut now.
Any ideas of companies to look at…hopefully not the ‘extreme’ sport specialists that we don’t really need.
If you are using lifts to access the trails, ie DH riding, then I’ve always gone for extra cover of a specialist policy, normally dogtag
We just did Yellow Jersey again. Annual cover for both skiing and MTB.
Ours is with Yellow Jersey. Singletrack members get a discount

Err. Exactly what do you think the risk profile of lift served MTB is.....
But back to the question, last year we paid around £500 for an annual policy with BMC, which smarted. This year I think it's going to be Big Cat.
Despite, and indeed because of, MOAB's advice not to go with the cheapest because you probably won't be covered, and that they paid up nicely when his son needed them.
[ they were deeply cheap when I got a quote hence my confusion]
Big Cat or Yellow Jersey seem to be the cover you really *need* and a few of us can vouch for them paying out.
Be very careful with the small print - there's some big insurers who basically cover you on a cycle lane or local park and nothing more.
Coverforyou.
they do MTB as an add one but it doesn’t add much.
i have had to claim 3 times with them on various holidays (injury, covid and covid) and they have paid out in full.
