Any suggestions? Needs to be signposted!
I don't know if any signposted family friendly routes near Llanberis. There's some stuff near Beddgelert you could take a look at. <!--more-->

Depending on how family friendly you need, the path along the Lake is fine. It pops out on the road heading out of Llanberis back towards Bangor direction. There's a cool tunnel you ride through that used to have no lights in. You'd steam into it on your bike and instantly lose your vision.
It's only a couple of miles

Don't know but it's very cool.
To OP:
Signposted, no, but there is a former rail track-based route along the edge of the lake towards Brynrefail as an out and back if you're desperate.
I think there is a longer family-friendly trail out of Caernarfon also.
Due to its location, there isnt really anything i would deem family friendly there. There is a tarmac cycle track that is flat and runs along the W side of the lake and anything else is steep.
There is a cyclepath that goes from the bottom of Nant y Garth hill (about 3 miles away) and heads west to Y Felinheli and then to Caernarfon. At Caernarfon you can refuel with cake coffee etc and head around the castle and keep going south on the tarmaved cycle track. Return would be the same way.
