Mrs B, the Beamlet and I are off to the New Forest on Saturday and I'm after a route suggestion that will fit the following criteria:

-Smoothish surface on doubletrack / quiet backroads
-The Beamlet will be travelling in a Chariot
-Nice pub for lunch (with a beer garden containing swings and stuff to keep the the Beamlet entertained)

The Beamlet is 16 months old and walking and running.

Ta in advance.

some useful maps here;

http://www.new-forest-national-park.com/new-forest-cycling.html

can't give much specific advice but the route from Brockenhurst upto Lyndhurst is a nice gentle one you could do with a trailer. we took a packed lunch and went to the reptile centre so can't help with pubs.

Thanks for the link.

Some good maps there, just what I needed.

All that's required now is some pub advice.

Cheers

It's a little bit out of Lyndhurst (Emery Down) but the New Forest Inn has a great little beer garden, no idea on the food though.

oh and if you go to the cycling centre place (the first one you come to) in the station car park you can get a free hard copy of the cycling maps.
