For the last 12 years we have been with Snowcard, never had to use them and each year its gone up a bit but stayed with them for peace of mind. Covers us for our 3 weeks in the Alps to cover downhill and usually a week snowboarding. Last year it went up £85 to £310 and this years renewal quote is £487. Don't have any of the add ons that pump it up but have an excess on any claims.

Just phoned them and they aren't bothered.

Got a quote from Dogtag for £230 comparable ? cover.

Are they any good and is their anyone else we should be looking at

Don't know about Dogtag.. have been using https://www.travelplusinsurance.co.uk for the last couple of years. We have their Annual Multitrip insurance for 2 adults and a teenager. Includes 45 days winter sports cover as standard. Cost £249 about 10 months ago. It isn't a winter sports specific policy however so you'd need to check whether it's right. Never had to claim on it however 🙂
