I was going to pull the trigger on a carbon disc bike then further searching turned this up that gets good reviews. Anyone using one can comment on how they are, will be used for road riding, a bit of commuting and some light touring if I go for one.

Are there any similar framesets about that people recommend that have a shorter lead time to actually get as the grey one is not til march 2019

thanks

Bowman Pilgrims? I was going to suggest the Mason bikes but they are quite a bit more pricy.

I've got a Strael 2. It's pretty special.... Ordered it in January, arrived in June and definitely worth the wait. Ridden extensively in Norway this summer. Climbs ok, very stable on descents - yet still feels like a bit of a hooligan, I think thats because it encourages me to corner a little on the fast side!  Was also pretty comfortable on some long sections of gravel road. Biggest day out was 95 miles, 11,000ft ascent. The comfort really helped towards the end of the ride.

Planning a ride from SW Portugal to Cap Wrath next year,  and really can't think of any bike on the market right now that I would target use.

Sorry if I come across as too much of a fan, but after 1200 miles I just can't find fault with it.  James Hayden had won the Trans Continental 2 years running on a Strael, so it's not just me.

Accept the wait, you will be glad that you did.
