So i have a carbon road bike, a fairlight secan and hardtail. The hardtail sits unridden most of the time, the secan gets a decent amount of use on road and forest track style riding and the road bike gets a reasonable amount of use.
I'm considering changing the secan and road frames for a strael or similar open to suggestions, and then using that for road, light touring, and easy fire road gravel. Lighter spare wheels and fast rolling tyres for the hardtail for mixed rides of gravel and MTB. I can ride from the house to whinlatter in about an hour on a mix of bridleway and quiet road and I think it be more fun to ride up there do some of the routes and ride home pn hardtail than just blast around teh forest trails on the gravel bike as per now.
Anyone using a strael for a bit of light gravel or offer suggestions to a similar frameset?
thanks
What about fast rolling tyres for the HT?
I run a Minion SS on the rear of mine, plenty of speed but still protection against rocks.
