Looking for a quick blast early in morning, is above as good as I imagine. Thinking park in grasmere, up via grisedale hause, down vie heron pike, nab scar to rydal and back via coffin route. Any opinions? Cheers.

Good route, but you could meet dog walkers on the coffin route if you're on it from 8am onward, I'd be inclined to nip over pelter bridge onto Loughrigg terrace for the return journey.
