Attempted my firt tour last week. Monday was beautiful with a visit to Gloucester tall ships event and pint and hot dog in the sun listening to live music.
Tuesday on the other hand was wet from the night before all the way to pitching at the end of the day. A day that was painful through the cotswolds in the cold rain ending just short of 50 miles to find that putting my tent up would split the main pole in 2 places. Although it was up I didnt trust it to go up the third time so my lovely lady came and picked me up from swindon. shame as the riding conditions were much nicer.
Just wanted to share my misfortune and let you know it hasn't deterred me from giving it another go. Including investing in a better tent.

Last mini tour i went on was a bit of a fail. Two guys who went with didn't get along. And trust me, with a load of guys in a tent "egging" is not a good thing....And who would have thunk it, spliffs before breakfast do not equate to the target mileage....
