Hi All

Does anyone have any recommendations for a very small 27.5 FS frameset available? My partner has a FS giant Liv in 29er XS but the combination of large wheels and the kink in the seat tube mean the saddle is simply too high and is knocking her confidence.

She is around 5’2”, so I think around a 370mm straight seat tube would be ideal.

Any suggestions or people having been in this same predicament?

Cheers

The smallest of the Juliana Furtados would likely be OK. They reckon that'll fit riders down to 4'8".

Second hand Liv Lust in 27.5" flavour is an answer.
Mrs_oab is 5' and loves it, a work colleague of mine who is also 5' went around a few shops who all offered small frames - she tried our xs Liv Lust and went out and bought one that evening.

My missus is also the same size and has had a few bikes that were a good fit.

Small Juliana Roubion
Small Marin B-17
Small Pace RC127+
15.5 Trek Top Fuel and Pro Caliber

Possibly a few others I've forgotten about. All these were 650b too. The Specialized Epic small in 29er was supposed to fit, but she didn't manage to get a demo to find out.

'Small' (16") Cubes Stereos are only around 360mm and are cheap here-

Tiny Cube Stings on ebay-

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=cube+sting&_sacat=0

The Stereo (mens) and Sting (womens) have identical geometry.

What's the intended purpose?

The Pivot Mach 5.7 in XS is rather small. As it's an older 26" bike, should be had relatively cheaply now.

I know you can get a very small Orange fs. A rather short female colleague had a tiny Orange Sub 5 which we called the Sub 4 and often expressed surprise that Orange built kids bikes much to her annoyance 🙂
Smallest high end fs I have ever seen, front triangle barely existed at all !
