46cm bars and have added a decent bit of padding in the hoods area, comfier now but using Supacaz bar tape it barely reaches the bend. Have repeated it three times with less overlap but have ended up opening a gap each time so given up on that, shame as I really like it otherwise. Who makes something similar in a properly long size? Nice colours also good, I have the light grey Supacaz on at the moment and don't really want to change it
I wrapped both sides of my bar with one roll of M-part primo bar tape, although I have compact bars and only wrap a short length of the tops. It's a bit thicker and more cushioned than the Supacaz kush.
Specialized used to offer a Roubaix tape. Very squashy, not sure about the length but I have it on my rarely used roadie and it's very comfy.
It is however also very chunky/thick.
Yeah had seen that, ta. Black only though, I'm being a tart and want grey. Found Enve bar tape which looks ideal at 2500mm, £35 though and I just spent £25 on the Supacaz, argggh!
Fabric knurl tape and specialized phat bar gel strips stuck on the bars work a treat on my 46cm bars
I'm gonna double wrap the bar on my new bike this weekend. The bar is a great shape but oddly thin.
Could that work for you?
My current favourite is Fabric Knurl tape.
The Fabric Knurl is only 2000mm per roll apparently. The Supacaz is 2150 or something. Not sure how you managed it slight return, your wrapping skills are obviously superior to mine.
Cha****ng - with double wrapping would think top layer would have to be super long?
Enve still looks good but can't bring myself to spend out
