I’ve been using Exposure lights for years and am a huge fan. I’ve been using a Strada SB for a few years, but as my commute (20miles each way) is a mix of inner city cycle paths and dark country lanes, I need something with a good range of power and spread without blinding oncoming drivers on dark roads or cyclists coming the other way on paths.
Normally I do this by a mix of angling the light when I mount it and lowering the power when appropriate or covering the light with my hand, but this can be bothersome on rough roads or when manoeuvring. Enter the Aktiv!
it’s bloody brilliant. It recognises oncoming lights at a readable distance and automatically dips the beam and then gradually increases again once it’s clear to do so.
