Exposure Strada road specific beam run upside down?

Google suggests the beam is asymmetrical and I can run the Exposure Strada upside down from a 3 prong mount in front and forward of stem.  Yet a quick DIY test in the dark reveals the beam appears to have a right way up, with less top beam (hence dazzle) when mount is underneath. Anyone on here run their Strada light upside down OK?

Exposure sell a stem mount to run it upside down so it sits under the bars. So I assume it doesn’t matter.  There is an auto dim feature on the newer ones.

Is your understanding of asymmetrical different to mine?

Yeah it still works just fine when run on top of the bars, but, as you’ve noted, there is a small amount of scatter up the way when run like this.
but it’s still nothing like an mtb light, it’s definitely still ’dipped’.

I’ve run mine above and below the bars. It’s pointed down slightly. No issues other than watch the top tube light interaction. More recently I run an exposure joystick pointed down under a K-Edge Garmin/go pro mount.

I've run mine underneath an out-front mount for a few years now, seems to work okay in so much as I don't get cars flashing me etc.

I spoke to Exposure and they assured me that running it upside down was fine.  Evidence suggests that's true.

IIRC it's not a dipped STVZO style beam where the brightest spot is directly under the cut-off (i.e. down the road), it's just an elliptical beam.
