Got a Revo set up last winter and love it. However Expxosures own rear light option the Red-eye doesn't really suit as my seat post is already occupied by a pack for puncture repair and tool pack. I have a B&M light on another bike mounted on mudguard and would like something similar that I can mount to my pannier rack?
I'm no expert in electrics but would it be possible to buy a fairly standard rear light, and connect it to the Revo output port? I think it's a standard 5.5mm o/d 2.5mm i/d jack plug and then standard spade type connections at the rear light? Or is there some unseen risk of blowing it all up if I don't use the Red Eye?
Not tried it myself but doesn't the red eye fit their saddle rail mount?
I have my Red-Eye mounted on the seatstay
i thought the band mount thing would be too wide/big for the seat stay? Ah well that's that sorted then! First post for ages and sorted in two steps? Good old STW! Cheers lads.
The mount fits my very deep aero seatpost as it's got a little notch in it. The band is also very stretchy.

Question is what sort of voltage is the Revo output? It seems it is about 3.7V, DC. Whereas most dynamo rear lights use about 6V AC. So it probably won't work very well (and may blow up).
You could try the Exposure Boost cable, it converts the output to USB, 5V. Then run a USB powered light from that.
