It has no holes like my old one, wrap it round the body and it falls off.

Loop it around the grooves at the back, poke the clip through the loop.

I put a cable tie on and looped it round that.

You don't, they suggest you slip it in the groove and yank it tight, it just slips out again.

Unclip that bit and throw it away. Use the rectangular plastic thing to make a loop in the main lanyard section and slide it tight round the body of the light. Then a loop pass through a helmet vent. Not lost one with it like this and it's been knocked off plenty.

I posted the same question a few months ago! Ended up googling it and found a way eventually. It was a youtube review of the light that showed the method! Sorry - didn't keep the link

The lanyard is so long, I was worried about it getting snagged on low branches more than the light. I use a rubber band offcut from an old inner tube, looped round the light and clamp so if it gets knocked off it'll just bounce around close to the clamp.

Heavy weight fishing line would work.

I had this with my mk11 - used a small drill in a pin vice in the end to put a hole in it, just like the old design and much more satisfactory.

It's a larksfoot knot that goes around the body and gets caught by a fin. It's not as good a fit as my diablo but in fairness, it hasn't fallen off the light

This is my preference, others may have better luck with the official method.

Glad its not just me. I’ll chuck an O-ring on it and attach to that.
