Morning all,
Having got a new helmet, the usual ball and socket Exposure mount for my Joystick won't go through the vent which is somewhat of a nuisance. I see that there is an adhesive GoPro mount you can get, how reliable do people find the sticky pads and do they compromise the helmet shell at all? Seem to recall reading about not putting certain solvents etc onto helmets as it degrades the plastic or somesuch. That might have been a while ago though so quite happy to be told this is in fact erroneous.
Also are there any alternatives to the adhesive mount that could say be attached via a velcro strap instead?
I use 3M Dual Lock (think Velcro crossed with stickle bricks) on a GoPro helmet mount.
Works really well. Also means the mount can be transferred between helmets - or removed for day rides.

I have a GoPro adapter from Raceware for my joystick. Works a treat and allows me to transfer to other lids if I need to. The 3M adhesive pads haven't done any damage to my helmets.
@StirlingCrispin That 3m take looks pretty sensible and would no doubt be useful for a number of other things too 👍
@scotroutes Crikey, that GoPro mount looks huge!
@relapsed_mandalorian Did you mount it to the GoPro mount or did you have a base from somewhere else if that makes sense?
