Hi all, can anyone recommend a good stand alone insurance policy?
Not too fussed about 3rd party cover but if that comes with it that's fine.

More concerned about theft, damage by being hit by a car or crashing into a tree.

I looked at ctc, but that seems to be primarily 3rd party only, although they offer legal advice in the event of a non fault accident.. Is this effective or should I seriously think about insuring myself against such things?

Cheers

That would be for the driver('s insurance) to pay out for, shirley?

As for the other things, why not include it on your home insurance. Usually cheaper than a separate policy.

Yeh that's why I was wondering about ctc membership.. I share a house with a mate so don't have my own contents policy, I suppose I could look into his policy and see if it could be extended but it complicates things and I'd rather not rely on someone else in the event of an issue.

Just get home insurance for your own contents.
Pretty simple.

Occasionally it's entirely the bike rider's fault. M&S paid out for my bike when I carelessly put myself in harm's way. They also paid out for a new frame when a rock cracked my BB shell. Both incidents were a fair few years ago now, I don't know what they're like now. That was B&C so I don't know about Contents Only.
